Sharks Net HRCAV TTT Horse Trials 2009
May 30th and 31st was the weekend for the HRCAV TTT Horse Trials 2009.
The CBHSA proudly sponsored a "Best Performed Cleveland Bay" award for the
weekend, which was won by Robyn Watkins and her lovely horse Bangor Ivy
League, who placed 4th overall in Level 3C.
Robyn finished on her dressage score of 46.8 (translates to 62.86%) which was
fantastic to see!
At left you can see Robyn and Bangor Ivy League in action in the showjumping
phase, and below right you can see the lovely trophy which almost looks as if she
modeled for it!
Arlene said that Miss B was a bit fresh on the Saturday which was reflected in her Dressage and Showjumping, but she scored
quite well in the dressage and she jumped quite well (despite a little balk at jump 10, which she went over anyhow, but caused
Arlene to think she might eat dirt for a brief moment!) and finished with a clear round.
On the Cross Country (Sunday), Arlene took it a little slower and steadier, and went clear, but finished with a few time faults -
which she says is something she can live with and improve on once she becomes more confident.  Arlene said that Miss B is still
a bit green, and that she nailed the drop to a log that caused problems for so many others.

Caroline Jones and Austral Park Charisma were in Level 4E and also finished in 16th place.

Amber Knapp and Mr Percival also took part in Level 5B.

There were around 400 horses and riders competing on the weekend, so a big well done to all those who took part!

It was Mr Percival's first Horse Trials - and was in the team with Bangor Ivy League (both by Austral Park Midnight Magic) who
came in 9th overall in the Teams section.
