International Cleveland Sporthorse Group
www.cleveland-sporthorse-performance.com
A newly formed group which is as the name suggests,
INTERNATIONAL!
The CBHSA is proud to be playing a role in this group which is
dedicated to promoting the Cleveland Bay Sporthorse - the
word 'Bay' has been dropped as the CBSH comes in all colours!
We need YOUR help with this group!

We would like information about any Cleveland Bay Sporthorse
who is performing well in Australia & New Zealand.
The more we can promote the CBSH, the more recognition the
breed gets which can only be of benefit to all members of the
society and riders of CB Sporthorses!
This group will NOT be registering horses, this group will NOT
be having any paid membership - it is purely to promote the
Cleveland Sporthorses (whether they be Purebreds or
Partbreds) around the world in one spot for all to see just how
great these horses are in all fields of competition!
Contact Shell Coburn for further information!

Lets shout it from the rooftops about how great the CB really is!
Purebred Cleveland Bay Stallion - Dressage Star!!
Tregoyd Topper and Owner/Trainer/Rider Brenda Boaden of
Western Australia have scored very well in a dressage test
recently!  They scored over 70% which is wonderful news for
both Brenda and Topper, and for the Cleveland Bays!
Topper is the only PUREBRED Cleveland Bay Stallion out there
competing in any arena at this point in Australia!
Normally the Purebred Stallions are kept wrapped in cotton
wool as they are so rare.  Brenda imported Topper from the UK
(right on top of EI - so had to wait impatiently for him) and has
gone ahead leaps and bounds with him since his arrival.  He
has been hopping over logs in the scrub when Brenda is out
and about riding him on the farm.

Chadburn) on 3rd place in the Led Warmblood Mare class at
the Royal Adelaide Show with CM Independant Miss,
bred and owned by CM Sporthorses.

This lovely yearling filly was in with the big girls at the Royal

level.

She was the only real baby in amongst the field of mature

From Louise:
"In our bid to get to the nationals in
October, we made the local newspaper last week
and the tv yesterday!

If you fancy a laugh try the link.

All ok except them saying we won all three comps
- which we didn't only the overall prize and
championship and that we only train 3 days per
week - I wish!"
Check out the Breeders Brag page
on our website!

With foaling season upon us, keep an eye

2011 CBHSA AGM

The AGM has been and gone!
You will find the Draft Minutes on the Members Only section of the website!

There was a great turnout of people and you can click the above link to see a few photos from
the weekend!

Thanks to all those who made the effort to come over from interstate and those who made the
huge effort to turn their horses out for everyone to see.

A huge thanks must go to Kirrilly and Dave who opened their home for us!
2011 Royal Melbourne Horse Show

The RMHS was a great success in January 2011, and it was fantastic to see everyone out there with their gorgeous
Cleveland Bay Sporthorses!

Relative newcomer to Cleveland Bays, Christine Ziebel, is the proud owner of the Supreme Led Cleveland Bay or
Cleveland Bay Sporthorses - Mystic Park Pierbition - her lovely big boy looked a million dollars, and was extremely
deserving of being awarded Champion CBSH and then Supreme Led CB or CBSH.

CM Sporthorses & Lyndsworth Lodge travelled over from South Australia and despite the handlers and CM Independant
Miss being very tired from the long trip - they came home with Reserve Champion CBSH.

Well done people!   See our State Reports Page, or click the above link for the photos and results!
Endurance Anyone??

Nicky Ferris and her lovely boy Iramoo Valentine completed the 20km Introductory ride at the Starkeys
Come and Try Day in August 2010.
Nicky has also been doing exeptionally well in the dressage arena with Iramoo Valentine as well, with wins
in Novice, Elementary and Elementary Freestyle here in South Australia.
Yes folks, these CBSH's can really do ANYTHING!
2011 Dilutes Australia

announce our guest speaker at the Annual General Meeting the

weekend.

Details to follow in about a week on http://www.clevelandbay.org
Go to calendar of events on the left section of the front page.
Inquiries will be addressed after Labor Day weekend.

In addition, the AGM registration form is incorrect.   A catered on site
lunch buffet at the AGM will be $10.00 USD per person not $5.00 USD.
Corrected registration forms will be available on the CBHSNA website
soon and available upon request at info@clevelandbay.org

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the beautiful Columbian River
Gorge.  Thanks to our hosts Timberlake Campground and RV Park,

NEW!!!!   We are changing the way that information for upcoming events and
reports, results and stories from each state are added to the website and
displayed!

Each state will be responsible for updating their own sections and sharing
information, images and stories with those viewing the site!

To see what is happening - click on the banner to take you to a sub-site for
each of the in each area of Australia and New Zealand

Let us know what is happening in your area so we can let everyone else
know about it too!!
Please be patient as the individual states sub-sites are updated and
developed.

With this being a more interactive way of sharing photographs and
information - as a 'member' of the 'sub site' you will be able to add your own
images and calendar events, as well as comments!
