2011 CBHSA AGM
26th March 2011, at Kokoda Park, Norman Road, Aldinga Beach, SA
27th March 2011 - Stud Tour - Verondina Stud, Birdwood, & Billara Stud, Mt Pleasant SA.

The last weekend in March 2011 was the 2011 CBHSA AGM which was a fantastic couple of days!
Brenda Boaden and her friend Elizabeth travelled over from Western Australia, Amber Knapp, Arlene Sheen & Vicki Jones all travelled
over from Victoria, and the South Aussies in attendance travelled from as far as Wirrulla - over on the Eyre Peninsula - towards Ceduna,
Mt Pleasant and Birdwood and the areas surrounding Adelaide.
A huge thankyou must go to Kirrilly and Dave for opening their house and property up to the CBHSA for the AGM and parade of horses.   A
huge thankyou must also go to Veronica and Berdina from Verondina Stud, Birdwood, and Bill & Barb Henderson from Billara Stud, Mt
Pleasant for opening up their properties to us for a stud tour on the Sunday.  The time, effort and hospitality is greatly appreciated by all.
The Lyndsworth Lodge team, which seems to be
growing!, put on a lovely parade of horses for the
members attending the AGM and family/friends who
were there for the day as well.    Kath Hurrell & Nikki
Chadburn (Lyndsworth Lodge), along with Paige Lovell,
a new CB owner, and Kirrilly Timmins (Kokoda Park - the
host of the meeting/parade) presented 5 horses for the
crowd to see.
CM Desert Dreams - a 16 month old gelding, owned by
Paige Lovell (purchased from Kalgary Stud who have
been looking after him for the last 9 months) was first
out to be shown off.   Dreamy had attended his first show
the week before and received a 1st, 2nd, and Reserve
Champion for his efforts - Paige was understandably
thrilled, as were the Lyndsworth Lodge girls who
prepped him, Kalgary Stud and CM Sporthorses!
Below you can see Alan from the
UK, and Garth Hurrell watching
the horses are they are paraded
in front of them.   They are
obviously enoying the view - and
whats not to enjoy?  Lovely horses!
Above Left is CM Independant Miss - the second
youngster presented.   Indy and Dreamy are both by
Billara Beersheba, however Indy is out of a 3/4 CB
mare herself, so of course is 3/4 CB, 1/4 TB.
CM Independant Miss is being shown by Lyndsworth
Lodge and has done superbly throughout her first
show season - 2010 - and the first two shows of
2011 she attended, constantly being placed
Supreme, Champion & Reserve Champion in both
the CB and WB rings.
Above Centre and Right is Lyndsworth with Kath
Hurrell.   He is now 18 yrs old and is 50% CB by
Gillshaw Caliph out of a small TB mare.
Left is PC Reznor with Nikki Chadburn - he is by
Sandgate Reznor out of a small TB mare, and is
25% CB.  He is also pictured below right with Nikki.
At left is Kirrilly on her lovely gelding, Verondina
Papaweo - who is by Wetherby Alpheratz out of a TB
mare.    Below is Paige Lovell with her boy, CM Desert
Dreams, with Gary and Kathy Macfarlane from Kalgary
Stud, Wirrulla, SA.
Above and Below:  Look Ma - No Hands!  Nikki on
Lyndsworth showing just how its done!  At right: You can
see why these horses are fantastic on the hunt field!
At Right is Paige
Lovell with her
boy CM Desert
Dreams, with

from Lyndsworth
Lodge, and
Michelle & Craig
Coburn from CM
Sporthorses -
Dreamys
breeders.

Monday's Grace
with young
Lachlan
onboard - this
was his third
ride on Grace,
which was very brave of him in front of an audience - this
was the first stop of the day on the 27th - at Verondina
Stud, Birdwood.   Lachlan looked like a pro up there on
Grace, and we look forward to hearing how they go in
the future!    Mum, Veronica, hopped on Verondina
Vivachi (right) and showed us what he can do.
The lovely boy sitting down in the photo above Veronica on Archie
is Dante - he is a 50% CB gelding, and he is having a smooch with
Veronicas youngest son above right, and the youngun is leading
"Harry" in the photo at right.   These pics just show how lovely
these horses are - not fussed about how little their handlers are!
The two images directly above are of the purebred
CB stallion, Billara Alfredo, who is by Wetherby
Alpheratz (the lovely dark bay boy pictured Right).
Alfredo is owned by Verondina Stud, and he is the
sire of the 3/4 CB filly below, Alodia, who is owned by
Kerry Jervis (pictured above centre with Alex Hill who
owns the gelding below centre, out of a Purebred
mare, by an Anglo Arabian Stallion.)
Above you can see Amber, from Victoria, giving Alphy a much appreciated scratch... He just lapped up the
attention as usual, and was such a 'big wild beastie' that he 'put up with' (cough - demanded!) attention
from everyone who was there.
After Alphy was stood up for a couple of photographs, Craig Coburn was asked to get him to trot - which did
not succeed, Bill Henderson (his owner) gave it a shot - and that didnt work either!   A mare was brought
out and his interest was caught and THEN we got some action! (Not a LOT of it, but it was there - these
CBs cant expend too much energy if its not needed!)
Above you can see those at Billara Stud for the
day admiring the purebred Cleveland Bay mares.
There are three lovely girls - Wetherby
Cambridge, Billara Alice and Billara Blossom.
Blossom is pictured above in the group photo
and at right.  She is the youngest of the girls and
is out of Alice by Alphy.
At left is the gorgeous big bottom of Billara Alice.
Below and Below right is the gorgeous old girl,
Wetherby Cambridge.
Above left is Barb Henderson with her gorgeous girl, Billara
Fair Play, who is quite a successful Dressage horse.
She is a half CB mare.
The lovely big boy above with the star, is an 8
yr old gelding by Wetherby Alpheratz.
His owner, Heather, won the service for Alphy
